Some things in life are just meant to bring joy—like sunshine through the kitchen window, a fresh set of keys, and the zesty goodness of homemade Key Lime Cupcakes. With a balance of sweet, citrusy zing and velvety smooth frosting, these little treats are like a celebration in every bite.

And that’s exactly how I believe your real estate journey should feel—exciting, uplifting, and filled with moments that remind you you're right where you’re meant to be.

Key Lime Cupcakes with Creamy Lime Frosting

Ingredients (Makes 12 cupcakes):

For the Cupcakes:

• 1½ cups all-purpose flour

• 1 tsp baking powder

• ½ tsp baking soda

• ¼ tsp salt

• ½ cup unsalted butter (room temp)

• ¾ cup sugar

• 2 large eggs

• 1/3 cup fresh key lime juice

• 1 tsp key lime zest

• ¼ cup buttermilk

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Frosting:

• 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

• ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)

• 3 cups powdered sugar

• 2 tbsp key lime juice

• 1 tsp key lime zest

• Optional: a few drops of green food coloring

Instructions:

1. Preheat & Prep: Set oven to 350°F and line a cupcake tin with 12 paper liners.

2. Make the Batter: In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, beat butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in lime juice, zest, vanilla, and buttermilk. Slowly add dry ingredients until smooth.

3. Bake: Scoop batter into liners and bake for 18–20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool completely.

4. Whip the Frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Slowly add powdered sugar, lime juice, zest, and coloring if desired. Frost cooled cupcakes generously.

5. Garnish & Enjoy: Top with lime zest, graham cracker crumbs, or a small lime slice for flair!
